It’s a new dawn
Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me
And I’m feeling good
because it is the sunrise and it’s the only thing that matters. The sun god Ra rises with their rays reigning the sky and running the universe, rolling into this new day on fumes.
The canvas is holding the paint well. The harmonies of shapes, colors and senses formed a fully fledged bouquet of the painting and the artist is finished in his role. It’s the rebirth of the artist as the viewer. And everything that happened in the atelier between dusk and dawn stays there quietly.
Actually, it’s an unparalleled privilege to get a glimpse into the making of art. At least for me it’s a very intimate topic and solitude is its best protector. Yet, you’re always keen to find out all you can about what happened behind someone else’s curtains and lucky you – there are plenty of artists ready anytime.
Yet, somehow, the process of unveiling plays its role as well and leads the mind in a direction that is at first hard to grasp and even in the end you probably don’t know where it leads. Maybe this path that we, the art aficionados, are on is endless and hence worthy of walking.
It began in Part I. More to come in Part III
